The Aussie Specialist Program is a key pillar of Tourism Australia’s Distribution Strategy. The platform is used to educate, update and motivate front line sales agents to sell Australia, increasing the opportunities for them to convert more bookings and upsell to maximise yield in line with TA’s overall 2020 strategy of increasing visitor expenditure.
Your team will help develop, implement and maintain the program in China.
What you need to know about this opportunity
Training on the platform and education on Australia will be provided... but if you are from Australia or have visited before, that is an obvious bonus.
Bi-lingual is a must - both in Mandarin and fluent English.
Role Description
You will be responsible for driving conversion from registration to qualification, driving engagement of the wider portal and tracking and reporting on performance.
You will gather content from all 8 State & Territory Tourism Organisations (STOs), translate and localise for the market where required and publish this content through the ASP website and eDMs.
You will work with the Aussie Specialist Trainer, the wider Distribution Development team and STOs to drive engagement.
Other responsibilities include
Work with STO Destination Specialists to ensure appropriate information is available for the Aussie Specialist Program – gathering, translating, localising and publishing content using a web content management system. Manage and oversee content planning and development strategy for ASP communication platforms in China, including ASP WeChat subscription account, mini-program as well as the ASP.cn community (Q&A section and where relevant). Coordinate internal teams based in 4 offices in China and Sydney, as well as external partners including STOs to ensure that the contents on ASP digital platforms meet the business goals of the broader team. Manage the various in-market vendors to ensure that they can deliver high-standard service for the ASP China team and the broader trade team when applicable. Attend product updates from Australian and in market suppliers and act as escort for famil trips dedicated for Aussie Specialists in China. Work with the distribution team in market to develop and implement an ASP engagement plan – e.g. prepare E-blasts, flyers and newsletters to meet agreed KPIs. Manage allocated ASP budget for digital projects.

Role Requirements / Must-Haves
Excellent English language skills (reading/writing and oral/aural)
Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Database management experience
Previous knowledge of Webinar technology an advantage
Creating, gathering, translating, localising content
Profound knowledge of digital communication platforms and media landscape in China
Ability to provide a high level of service to front-line sales agents (your customers), address their needs and create loyalty, as well as address the needs of internal stakeholders and service partners
Excellent communication skills
