Introduction
There have been tall buildings since we have been developing cities. While some peopleargue that “vertical” City with tall buildings can carry more people, I believe“horizontal” City has better indoor environment and it is safer when emergencyoccurs.
Introduction 一般写三句话。第一句和第二句复述题目，介绍背景。第三句话，清晰的给出自己的观点。
Body Paragraph
Firstly,the capacity of “vertical” City is much higher. “Vertical” City consists oftowers with more than 10 storeys. Since the number of people carried in a10-storey tower is ten times the population in a building with only groundfloor, cities with tall buildings can carry at least 10 times more people thanthose with few tall buildings. Hence, more people can work in or be accommodatedby “vertical” City, as compared to “horizontal” City.
On the other hand, “horizontal” City often has better indoor environment. This isbecause buildings with only a few storeys have better ventilation than highrise buildings where only air conditioning system can be used to keep the aircirculating on higher levels of the buildings. Additionally, buildings in “horizontal”City tend to obtain sufficient sunshine while tall buildings often block eachother from the sunlight.
Equally important, safety can be an issue in “vertical” City. When there is a fire oran earthquake, people who work or live on higher levels may be in great danger,especially when elevators cannot be used on special occasions. Evacuation isthen a problem as it takes much longer for people on top floors to leave thebuilding whereas all of the people in buildings with only few storeys can leavein few minutes.

Conculsion
To summarize, even though “vertical” City with towers has higher capacity, I stillbelieve that “horizontal” City is better because it offers better indoor environment and there is no high safety risks that high rise buildings have.
