We are seeking a Commercial Analyst, Capital Projects to join the Strategy and Development team. This is a full time, permanent position reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Management Office.

The role will provide commercial insights with respect to our aviation facility commercial agreements and ensure we meet internal and external reporting requirements with respect to these agreements.

The role will focus on the following key areas:

• Ensuring that projects are appropriately allocated to aviation facility agreements during the capital planning process to support the aviation commercial team with pricing projections.

• Work with development managers to ensure they are mobilising the project pipeline in line with the agreed schedule

• Identify opportunities, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, to optimise the delivery performance with respect to our aviation facility agreements.

Key Accountabilities:

Aeronautical Agreement Optimisation

• Work with the Development team to establish appropriate cost allocation metrics / methodology to ensure projects are appropriately captured in commercial agreements.

• Support the Integrated Capital Planning process to identify the commercial construct for projects to understand the commercial impacts at a portfolio level.

• Perform scenario modelling to understand the impact on aeronautical revenues to ensure the business is informed when prioritising project progression.

• Establish a project prioritisation matrix methodology and apply across the capital portfolio to ensure key capacity and essential safety & security projects are prioritised.

• Work with capital program leads to ensure aeronautical agreements are optimised through timely mobilisation and delivery of capital p ojects.

Reporting

• Ensure that capital projects are appropriately tagged to commercial agreements within the capital portfolio reporting system to streamline, and ensure accuracy of, reporting against commercial agreements.

• Establish and maintain reporting to meet mandated reporting requirements of aeronautical agreements.

• Assist with reporting requirements to critically evaluate performance at the monthly Investment Committee.

• Provide monthly (and annual budget) capital forecast data to the Aviation Finance Business Partner for aeronautical revenue calculations.

• Provide ad hoc reporting to support APAM project submissions to the Capital Control Group (CCG).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting field

• Professional memberships and/or postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA or MBA desirable but not essential

• 5 or more years' experience in financial planning and analysis roles is preferable.

• Applicants straight out of chartered firms will be considered.

• Experience using Power BI reporting is desirable.

• Strong financial acumen, including extensive experience in building complex financial models and analysing outputs.

• Must be computer literate to advanced level in spreadsheets and intermediate/advanced level in word processing and presentation packages, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Able to present analysis clearly in presentation format. You will have been responsible for management and Board reporting in previous roles.
