展览的主题「易」取自于《易经》，作为一部中华民族的古老经典和中华传统文化的源头之一，它阐述了世间万物 (物、人、境) 的变化规律: 于大道至简之“简易”中追溯人生本源；在生命无常之 “变易”中与自我和解；从与他人“平易”相处之道中收获善与美。《易经》以此促进整个社会的友善与和谐。

The theme of the exhibition YI is taken from the book “YI JING” (or “I Ching”). As one of the ancient classics of the Chinese nation and the origins of Chinese traditional culture, YI JING expounds the law of change that governs everything – objects, people, situations, and so on – in the world. From understanding “Simpleness” as the basis of all things, to how individuals reconcile themselves when facing “Changes” in life, then learning how to get along with others through “Amiability”, YI JING promotes respect and courtesy in the whole society.

本次展览将以 “变”、“简”、“人” 为主题, 探索中国文化在当代艺术和现代社会语境下的丰富内涵和多维层次。

This exhibition will be themed by “Changes”, “Simpleness”, and “Amiability” to explore the abundant implications and manifold dimensionality of Chinese culture in the context of contemporary art and modern society. 

“易”展览呈现与凝聚了一场跨越文化边界的人类共同艺术与生命体验: 在中国和西方艺术不断互动、碰撞、交叠与共生的当今时代背景下，每一个个体，都能找到属于自己的一份独有的文化共鸣。

YI epitomizes the shared artistic experience across cultural boundaries along the multitudinous interactions and resonance with both Chinese and Western art and culture.
