Senior Manager

As an Audit Senior Manager, you will make an impact here by taking a leadership role within the team, coaching team members and building strong relationships based on trust with our clients. Based in our Melbourne office, as Senior Manger you will have the opportunity to work across a large and exciting client base including large private business; entrepreneurial and family owned; early stage and fast growth across technology, property, retail and not for profit organizations. As an Audit Senior Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility to deliver service to clients including:

You will:

• Managing a client portfolio and reporting to the Partner / Director Group

• Managing and supervising staff to junior staff and its delivery to the client

• Managing the day to day client relationships

• Staff management and coaching responsibilities

• Developing of new business relationships and revenue generation

• Auditing the assurance process using state of the art analytical tools and practice methodologies

• Developing industry and technical expertise in assurance and business advisory areas through written reports and management presentations

• Managing multiple relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction through high quality service deliverable

About you

As part of the Private Clients team you will work primarily on audit engagements, however, there are increasing opportunities to get involved with other related activity to provide a greater breadth of experience.

As a Senior Manager within the firm you will be required to demonstrate:

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification and solid post qualification experience

• Experience operating at Senior Manager in a similar environment

• Experience of working on IFRS engagements (experience of other accounting frameworks an advantage)

• Proven ability to lead audit engagements from planning to completing on a diverse range of assignments

• Strong analytical skills and ability to ability to adapt to changing circumstances

• An ability to innovate and add value to clients and projects

• A proven track record of compliance with quality standards and an ability to balance an efficient and compliant audit

• A proven ability to manage and monitor engagement budgets and financial performance

• An ability to spot opportunities to add value to clients and work with colleagues in other lines of service to help clients find solutions to the challenges they face

• Experience of fee negotiations and negotiating scope changes with clients

About you

You have a solid background in Accounting and are capable of contributing to end to end audit engagements. You will research and provide advice to clients on issues faced in relation to reporting and address client requests for assistance on a timely basis. • Have 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role at a Big 4 or Second Tier firm

The Private Clients Assurance team offers a range of assurance services to our clients to improve their financial performance. This allows our clients to achieve goals faster whilst managing the detail needed to drive growth and satisfy regulatory and stakeholder needs.

You have a solid background in Financial Assurance and are capable of maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients. Further to this you are able to effectively lead a team to deliver the best standard to our Private Clients. You’re passionate about the future of Financial Assurance and solving important problems. You thrive in a collaborative and innovative  culture and want to join a firm that values problem solvers, the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and key stakeholders.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for identifying financial and operational insights, thereby creating differentiated impact for our clients

• Work in an exciting environment as part of a high performing, close knit team to further enhance your technical capabilities, business and global acumen

• Service fast growing and ever changing clients moving toward exit events like IPOs, trade sales and private equity transactions while developing your expertise across a broad range of industries

• Work closely with colleagues from other service lines such as tax, advisory, deals and wealth

• Working directly with business owners and key management (C-suit)
