We are seeking an Aviation Operations Analyst to join the Planning & Performance team. This is a full time, permanent position reporting to the Manager Planning & Performance.

The position of Aviation Operations Analyst is accountable for the analysis and reporting of airport operational performance including customer experience, service delivery and operational efficiency measures.  It is also responsible for the development, implementation and review of strategies to drive performance improvement.

This position involves considerable internal and external stakeholder collaboration to analyse the needs of the operation and respond accordingly. It champions the drive for performance and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

• To deliver focused and responsive performance analysis, reporting and operational improvement plans

• Undertake modelling of airport processes to determine capacity limitations and options to improve airport operational efficiency.  

• Engage customers and stakeholders, particularly the operations team and airlines, to highlight operational performance and priorities.

• Manage improvement projects to automate data reporting and to improve terminal and airfield operations

• Review plan conformance and identify opportunities for improvement to short term and seasonal planning processes.

• Develop appropriate documentation and SOPs to ensure all analyst processes are formalised and communicated to relevant stakeholders

Qualification/ Experience/ Background

• Tertiary qualified in Aviation Management, Business Management, Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the Aviation sector

• Advanced MS Excel skills, including data warehousing and business reporting methodologies

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in terms of data analysis and reporting with the ability to distil data to highlight operational performance

• Ability to use Tableau/Power BI or similar BI reporting

• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

• Strong written and presentation skills; applicants must have the ability to present to external industry stakeholders and explain operational performance data
