澳大利亚的公共节假日通常是元旦、澳大利亚独立日耶稣受难日,复活节后的星期一,澳纽军团日、圣诞节和节礼日。

其它公众假期，例如英女皇寿辰（Queen's Birthday）和劳动节（Labour Day）等都会由州和领地政府个别宣布，因为日子不尽相同。
