Our Opportunity - Customer Service Officer (Hybrid)
At Bank of Melbourne, we believe in taking the time to get to know our customers as a person, not a series of accounts. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy dealing with people to be key members of our local branch customer service team.
Our Customer Service Officers have a unique ability; they know how to make banking more of a conversation so customers actually look forward to coming into the branch. They know our customers' names and the neighbourhood they work in like the back of their hand, so they're always assured of a friendly face. Understanding the individual needs of both our personal and business owner customers is second nature and they're able to recommend exactly which products and services will genuinely serve them best. If more specialised advice is needed, they'll introduce customers to the local specialist best able to help.

For a start, you'll love where you live and work, and enjoy creating a true sense of neighbourhood. You're at ease talking to people and know how to balance friendliness with a strong service ethic through your previous experience in sales and service. Working as part of a team is something you enjoy and you actively work with your team members to achieve performance goals. Problem-solving poses no problems, nor does thinking on your feet and adapting to change with ease.

Intern Analyst
Following the success of our internship programs in 2015, 2016 & 2017, The SILC Group will be extending our Internshipprogram to 2018. Our Internship program has been designed to provide a motivated student currently undertaking afinance (or related) university degree with real work experience; giving them a serious start to their career.
About the role
As an intern, you will get the opportunity to work in all aspects of our business – from working in our various servicedivisions (Capital Solutions, Market Solutions and Portfolio Solutions) to assisting with the strategy and day-to-dayfunctions of our operations team.
Responsibilities and duties will include (but not limited to):
Assisting the various divisions in the origination and execution of deals
Role shadowing specialists
Preparing term sheets for various product offerings
Financial analysis required to assist in the execution of transactions
Financial modelling and valuations of different businesses
Preparing the weekly bulletin, The SILC Group – Markets Insights
What we require
We have an opportunity for a motivated University student currently completing their penultimate or final yearof a Finance/Commerce/Business degree to undertake a 12 month internship with The SILC Group. We are seekingcandidates who have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of basic principles of financial analysis
Strong analytical skills, particularly in collating, evaluating and interpreting data
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
