Graduate Consultant

Elton Consulting is a leading professional services company. We have been a trusted advisor to government, private companies and the not for profit sector for over 25 years. Nationally, we have over 90 professional staff and we’re about to open a new office in Melbourne in a vibrant collaborative hub. People and their environment are our focus – we plan great places and facilities for people, communicate and engage meaningfully, improve communities, services, systems and organisations, and design materials that bring projects to life. We’re looking for a new communications graduate or a graduate with up to 1- 2 years of work experience to join our small but growing Melbourne team.
The role
Our graduates have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills while working on a very diverse array of projects, including being part of teams delivering high level government and private sector projects. You’ll also play a key role in helping the new office run smoothly, providing administrative and office support. Your responsibilities would include:
Preparing communication materials, such as communication plans, newsletters, social media and other communication tools
Assisting with community consultation processes, including stakeholder contact
Assisting teams with background research
Assisting with event management and logistics e.g. for community consultation events and workshops
Analysing material and drafting and editing reports
Preparing demographic and stakeholder analyses
Input and analysis of electronic databases for stakeholder analysis
Project support including data entry and other administrative tasks
Office administration such as diary management, answering phones, preparing reports
What you bring to the team
Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline
Ability to understand and analyse complex information
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Organisational skills and the capacity to meet deadlines
An understanding of the Australian government landscape
Familiarity with communication tools such as communication plans, fact sheets and social media

Graduate/Area Manager Program

Area Manager Program
At ALDI, our people are the key to our success. For those up for the challenge we offer a comprehensive 12 month Area Manager program. To participate in this program you must possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree, demonstrate a strong academic record, have a minimum of 3 years business experience, and proven success in leadership roles. This program allows for a high level of autonomy and responsibility with the opportunity to manage your workload the way you want and effect change in both your area of stores and the wider business in general. Our year long program covers all aspects of the company and allows you to build on your established business knowledge.
The role of an ALDI Area Manager certainly is a challenging one. It is fast-paced and demanding with long hours, high expectations and tough goals to achieve. It is not the role for anyone who is scared of getting their hands dirty. You must possess outstanding interpersonal and time management skills. There is no such thing as a typical day, so you must be adaptive and resilient.
After completing the program you will oversee 3-5 multimillion dollar stores. This will utilise all the skills you have refined in your training period and will draw heavily on your leadership, business acumen, procedural knowledge and technical management. Organising a heavy workload and coaching team members to fulfil their potential requires a level head under pressure. In return for your dedication, we provide higher than industry average remuneration and a fully expensed company car and iPhone from your first week. Applications for our 12 month Area Manager program are taken throughout the year.
Graduate Program
As an ALDI graduate, you'll undertake a comprehensive 18 month training program specifically designed to develop our leaders of tomorrow. You will have the opportunity to rotate through all aspects of our business, lead successful teams and participate in exciting projects. Be successful and you'll take on the role of Area Manager at the end of the program, running 3-5 stores in a multi-million dollar business as if it was your own.
To be eligible, you must be in your final year of study or have recently completed a Bachelor or Master's Degree in any discipline and have demonstrated academic excellence. Our Graduates must be able to plan and manage their time effectively to achieve their goals, be supportive and approachable in order to develop and build successful teams, and be flexible enough to relocate throughout the state during the training and placement period. You will also have the opportunity to travel to Sydney Corporate Office at different stages of the program and spend time with your graduate cohorts.

Graduate Java Developer

You will receive fully funded professional business and technical training (full-time for approximately 14 weeks) in our Sydney training centre to become a Java Developer.
